Grit: When I first saw the topic for this Five Minute Friday post...nothing came to mind that I thought would be edifying enough to write in a post. Especially a post that has to be written in 5 minutes with no edits and not deep thinking...just fingers on keys...gritting it out...typing out the nitty gritty details of true grit.
True grit brings to mind determination...a determination to do something...to do it fully...to do it regardless of the difficulty or challenge or lack of motivation. GRIT.
I determined to write @ Five Minute Friday a month or so ago when I was trying to revitalize my blog...find new things to write about; write consistently; be thoughtful; write deeper about the nitty gritty of my life~not just the surface fluff, but who I am really am; what I really struggle with; the daily grit and grime I battle as a pastor's wife, mother of 9, writer, and just a woman in general.
Life isn't easy and sometimes we only see the shiny, pretty side on a blog. Not the gritty, grimy, super slimy struggles.
What a great reminder to be real; to show true grit; to be determined to live out the nitty gritty details of life with others who also struggle.
